HABL: Artifacts in Action

Hybrid Artifact-Based Learning (HABL) is a practical instructional framework that combines physical texts, handwritten artifacts, digital artifacts, and technology-enhanced learning to improve student retention and engagement. This video explores the research behind HABL, explains its five-phase learning cycle, distinguishes it from TPACK, and demonstrates how it can be implemented across subjects including English, Mathematics, Business, Communications, Fine Arts, and Career and Technical Education. Rather than choosing between paper and screens, HABL shows how both can work together to create more meaningful and lasting learning experiences.
