Creating an E-Portfolio

This sucks.

If it weren’t for this class I am taking for my master’s degree, I would have never done this.

But what if that’s a disservice to other people.

I have had 25 years in this game and it started as a way for me to make money while I did other things, but I love the kids and I was good at it. I was so good that I kept doing it and didn’t get fired.

In fact, I excelled. I started winning things. I started helping my knuckleheads make higher and higher scores on state exams, and when they changed the exam, I changed my teaching and kept them moving up.

When given the opportunity to move up, I stayed in the trenches with my kids and my adopted family of teachers. And throught all of that, I learned alot.

This may be a good way to give back to the community of teachers and leaders who have inspired me, and the people who have put up with me for 25 years.

Let’s see if I have something to contribute. I’ll be honest. It will be homework to start with, but maybe, just maybe, it will blossom into something better… grander. At the very least, I’ll look back and remember that
